Frostig School – West LA Campus has a strong focus on the arts, believing it to be a strong force in the learning experience of students who lean towards the creative side and it also being a great source of expression and self-confidence. Their Arts program incorporate Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, and Music, creating a multidisciplinary curriculum that supports a student’s academic, social, and emotional development. Students are also encouraged with what Frostig calls the Success Attributes, which develop social-emotional characteristics and teach goal setting, perseverance, emotional coping strategies, self-awareness, support networks, and pro-activity. Frostig School – West LA students are also encouraged to develop leadership and social skills by letting them organize their Fall Festival and a Friendship Dance for students to mingle and make connections. Their admissions process requires:
1. Submitting an inquiry and completing an application on their website.
2. Student’s IEP and progress reports.
3. Current transcripts.
4. Psychoeducational/Neuropsych evaluation.
5. Academic Assessments.
6. Speech, PT, and OT reports if needed.
