What does Summer look like at San Francisco University High School?

Summer at San Francisco University High School takes place through the Breakthrough Summerbridge Summer Program. Taking place over six weeks, it is a full-time program that pushes students to succeed in college by developing their skills in science, math, and a variety of electives in art, sports, dance, drama, and more! The tuition is free and is open to sixth-grade middle schoolers in the San Franciso area. The program sees over 100 students and reflects the vast ethnic diversity of San Francisco. Underserved students with backgrounds from Asian, Black, Hispanic/Latino, White, multiracial, and more, families are represented at the program. More than just a summer program, students who are part of the Breakthrough Summerbridge program attend after-school to ensure that the skills and values they develop are retained! The Breakthrough Summerbridge program started at San Francisco University High School 45 years ago and has since expanded to include a 25-wide affiliated network across the United States!
