For many families, the campus tour is the most important part of the application process; it is the best way to get a true sense of Asheville School. During your visit, you will be given a walking tour of campus by a current student, observe an academic class if requested, and interview with a member of our Admission Office. Your visit should last about 2 hours.
We also offer a more casual “Tour and Chat” visit for students enrolled in the 7th grade or below.

Any application received after the deadlines will be reviewed on a rolling admission basis as space allows. Once all available positions in a grade level are filled, applications for that grade level will no longer be considered.
Testing Policy: In keeping with the practices of a growing number of peer schools around the country as well as the nation’s most selective colleges and universities, completion of the SSAT is optional for domestic applications. The evaluation of all candidates is centered on student interviews, personal essays, co-curricular endeavors, teacher recommendations, community involvement, and grade reports.

International students must submit results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Accepted students typically score between 90 and 110 on the TOEFL IBT. Students should be sure to indicate that a copy of your scores be sent to Asheville School with code C496. If the TOEFL is not available, you may submit the results from a Duolingo test.
