Does San Domenico require standardized tests?

San Domenico School has adopted a test-optional policy regarding standardized tests like ISEE and SSAT for middle and high school applicants. This approach aligns with the school’s commitment to equity and inclusivity, recognizing the barriers that standardized testing may create for some families.

Candidates are assessed holistically by the school, with an emphasis on their character, academic standing, and possible community service. Test results are not a deciding element in the admissions process, although applicants may choose to include them if they feel it improves their application.  However, submitting test scores could provide the differentiation that an applicant needs because good scores reflect strong academic abilities and readiness to deal with the rigorous educational environment at San Domenico.
