The average rate for tutors in the Burlingame Area is $33.66/hour, which can go up to $49/hour, depending on the expertise of the tutor. But for those who do not have much experience under their belts, this would mean pulling more hours to make money and strengthen their experience. That, in turn, leads to fewer hours for leisure, study, other commitments, and eventually, burnout. This is especially true for college students who have to keep up with academics and juggling with different jobs at the same time.
At Cardinal Education, we offer a starting rate of $60/hour, one of the highest rates in the Bay Area. This can even go higher depending on the tutor’s experience. We also help with that by giving training.
For professionals, we require a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and proficiency in the subject matter you wish to teach. While optional since we offer training, it is highly recommended that you have previous experience in tutoring or test prep.
For college students, you must be currently enrolled and active in a university, have great marks, good character, and at least high school proficiency in the subject you wish to teach. We may also require a recommendation letter from a current professor in your institution.
