How many times can I take the SAT or ACT?

Some students may choose to retake the SAT and ACT to get the best results possible. You are allowed to take the SAT as many times as you’d like; there is no limit on the number of times you can do so. Students may retake the ACT exam up to 12 times in their lives, although they are permitted to do so.

Even though you have several opportunities to repeat both tests, it is imperative that you pay attention to the schedules because only a limited number are available each year. Furthermore, test centers for the SAT and ACT provide a limited quantity of seats along with a backup option. Because of this, it’s crucial to register for your desired test date as soon as possible.

This is why we recommend signing up for your preferred test date as soon as registration becomes available and completing full-length SAT and ACT practice tests until you feel confident with your scores and ready to take the real tests efficiently.
