Admission Events

Middle school applicants must attend the open house where they will have the opportunity to explore the campus, speak with teachers, students, admissions officers, and other school employees, and discover more about the academic program, co-curricular activities, arts, and athletics at Ransom Everglades. Families that are unable to attend the open house are welcome to visit the campus. Both parents and students are welcome. Upper school applicants do not attend an open house; instead, parents and students are invited on a campus tour.

Attending admission events is more than visiting the school and getting a feel of the campus and its surroundings. It is also your chance to observe and get to know the school culture by engaging with students and staff. At the same time, admissions officers are also observing you and gauging if you will be a good fit for them. Your short conversations, interaction, and participation in activities will matter a lot, so be at your best, ask the right questions, and show genuine interest in attending Ransom Everglades.

The following information can be requested by entering the registrar’s email address: grades through at least the first semester or trimester of the current school year, final test scores from the previous year, attendance records, and conduct grades/reports.

When admissions officers look at transcripts, they are looking at your child’s academic achievements or challenges. They want to determine the ability to become successful in dealing with the rigorous Ransom Everglades curriculum and how much support your child needs. Consistent high grades will definitely increase your chances of admission. What should you do if your child’s grades are not impressive? We advise tutoring. Our tutors are experts in their respective fields and highly trained to teach even in the most difficult situations. We also offer academic coaching for students who need guidance on developing executive function skills such as time management, study skills, and organizational skills. It doesn’t matter if your child’s grades and GPA are high, they still have to submit impressive standardized test scores to complete the picture. Preparing for these tests doesn’t only mean reviewing the concepts because to achieve success, it is important that your child knows test-taking strategies. Our SSAT practice tests and ISEE practice tests cover all of that, from basic concepts to developing essay writing skills and guessing strategies when unsure of the answers. We give the best test prep for private schools. We use our own books and materials authored by the CEO himself. Our SSAT tutors and ISEE tutors are experts and offer onsite and online tutoring.

Student Statement

Upper school applicants are required to answer the student questionnaire which can be found on the application portal and must be submitted before the interview. The questions are about curricular and co-curricular activities that your child is excited about. To find what they have to offer, visit the Ransom Everglades website, read about the different offerings, and choose those that interest your child. Make straightforward responses that are true and provide anecdotes to make them more authentic.

Parent Statement

Parents of applicants are required to answer the parent questionnaire. Responses are limited to a maximum of 250 words or 4000 characters. The responses reveal how well you as a parent know your child and how your family is a good fit for Ransom Everglades.
