As one of the best schools in the Bay Area, Castilleja is very selective in accepting applicants and has very high standards when it comes to academic qualifications. Out of 10 applicants, the admissions committee will only accept one, especially for the 7th through 11th where admission is limited and dependent upon the available spaces. The entry point for enrollment is 6th grade, and there are approximately 60 spaces available each year. According to Niche.com’s rankings for 2023, Castilleja is the second-best girls’ high school in the country and the 18th-best private high school overall. Castilleja will take into account any applicant who supports the school’s mission and identifies as a girl, regardless of whether that identity differs from the gender identity typically connected to a person’s physiology, given sex at birth, or academic records. Castilleja accepts applications for admission from overseas students. Every applicant must go through the same admissions procedure and demonstrate oral and written English proficiency. International students can apply for student visas after being accepted to Castilleja. All Casti students are expected to reside in the Bay Area with their immediate families.Frequently Asked Questions
