ADMISSIONS COACHINGWe work with you to personalize your application process experience, address your individual needs and goals, and facilitate the student’s transition to higher education.
Our Call to Action
Over the last 12 years, we at Cardinal Education have guided hundreds of students through the college admissions process at schools across the country; from Williams to Bucknell; Yale to Davidson; Vanderbilt to UC Berkeley.
Families coming to us with seemingly strong resumes and grand dreams are often hit with a harsh reality: the college admissions game has changed.
It is not enough to just have polished essays or standout interviews. The resume behind the application must demonstrate depth, ambition, and passion. That can only be done if students start early, fostering their skills, interests, and leadership abilities along the way.
Our college counseling packages are a reflection of what we see as the missing element to our students and families college aspirations. They prevent the foreseeable yet often crippling mistakes on college applications, foster organic development and support of students’ skills and passions, and de-stress the entire college process.
From beginning to end, they ensure that our students and families stay ahead of the game.
Many students and families fear even the idea of thinking about the college process during the early high school years. Academic burnout and lost teenage social years are the most common concerns.
At Cardinal Education, we believe successful college admissions results and a full high school experience are not mutually exclusive. Our model relies on taking natural student interests, building up skills, and developing students into leaders within their field.
We seek to empower students through personalized mentorship, not trap them students in prepackaged molds.
Our unrivaled methodology relies on two pivotal components: deep relationships and expert strategy.
We meet with all of our students and families on a regular basis, often 2-3 times a month, throughout their high school years. Through this process we come to truly understand each of our students and families and uncover the unique pathways to success.
Our years of experience in college admissions have allowed us to identify and leverage key inflection points in a high school career. Our process is proven to reduce stress, free up time to work on growth areas, and get students from the brainstorming phase of a great inspiration to its tangible and successful achievement.

“Allen, I just wanted to let you know that I got into Dartmouth, Washington University in St. Louis, and Cornell. Thank you for helping me out with my college apps and essays. Your advice was invaluable to me considering the pressure that I was under. I’m glad I got the real inside info I was looking for, and not some cookie-cutter program or useless cliches. I was so stressed going into senior year and felt completely overwhelmed. Your recommendations showed me how to successfully manage all my work and keep my stress level down. Also, thanks for making sure I never slacked off too much. I really appreciate the individual attention I received.”
“I highly recommend Cardinal Education to anyone applying to boarding or private schools. They really know what they are doing, and show a lot of care and attention to their students. With their help, I will be attending Thatcher next year. Not only do their tutors know their stuff, they made sure that I stayed on top of everything. They were pretty unrelenting in their focus and it helped me stay on track so many times.”
“This unique company provides personalized, individual educational coaching and tutoring for kids of all levels and abilities. The tutors they hire are all Stanford students. They consult, as needed, with teachers to make sure the child’s educational goals are being met.
Thank you so much for helping Colleen out with her college essays. I don’t know what we would have done without you. Colleen was always so busy with schoolwork, sports, and extracurriculars that she never had enough time to work on her essays until she began working with Sheila. Sheila helped organize all her college applications and developed a plan of action. Sheila then outlined a schedule to follow for Colleen’s essays and applications and made sure Colleen met every deadline no matter what! You made such a stressful experience an enjoyable one. I can’t thank you enough!”
